These Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a weekend barbecue. Tender chicken pieces are seasoned with garlic and herb seasoning, then air-fried to perfection and brushed with a flavorful garlic parmesan butter.

- 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 1/2 Tbsp garlic and herb seasoning
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 6 skewers, metal or bamboo
Garlic Parmesan Butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced or grated
- 1 Tbsp garlic and herb seasoning
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Prepare: Soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 30 minutes if using. If using metal skewers, no need to soak. Ensure they fit in the air fryer basket.
- Season Chicken: In a bowl, toss chicken pieces with olive oil and garlic and herb seasoning until coated.
- Prepare Skewers: Thread chicken onto skewers, about 7-8 pieces per skewer.
- Cook Chicken: Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Air fry skewers for 8 minutes.
- Make Garlic Butter: Combine all garlic parmesan butter ingredients.
- Continue Cooking: Flip skewers, brush with garlic butter, air fry for another 7 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Brush and Serve: Brush cooked chicken with more garlic butter before serving.
Notes
- I’ve estimated this recipe serves 4, but feel free to adjust servings as needed.
- For homemade garlic and herb seasoning, combine dried minced garlic, kosher salt, garlic powder, dried basil, dried parsley, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- For oven directions, bake skewers at 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
- For grill directions, grill skewers over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes.
