Description
The Jack Frost Mimosa is a refreshing, vibrant cocktail perfect for festive occasions or brunch gatherings. Combining sparkling wine with blue Curacao and lemonade, this drink features a visually appealing coconut-flaked rim that adds a frosty touch and hints of tropical flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Cocktail
- 1 Bottle Champagne or sparkling wine (750ml)
- 1/4 cup Blue Curacao
- 2 cups Lemonade
For the Rim
- 1/3 cup sweetened coconut flakes
- Honey, enough for dipping the rims
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass Rim: Dip the rim of each Champagne glass into honey to coat it evenly. Immediately dip the honey-coated rim into the sweetened shredded coconut flakes, pressing gently to adhere. Set the glasses aside to allow the rims to dry slightly and set.
- Add Blue Curacao: Pour the blue Curacao evenly into each prepared glass, dividing the 1/4 cup equally among all glasses.
- Pour Lemonade: Add lemonade to each glass until about half full, balancing the refreshing citrus flavor with the blue Curacao.
- Top with Champagne: Carefully top off each glass with chilled Champagne or sparkling wine to fill each glass. Serve immediately to enjoy the bubbles at their best.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute Champagne with club soda or sparkling water and use blue Curacao syrup without alcohol.
- You can use any sparkling wine—Cava is a great choice as it’s more affordable and lighter in flavor.
