Description

A refreshing and creamy Brazilian Lemonade made with fresh limes, sweetened condensed milk, and water. This vibrant limeade balances tartness and sweetness perfectly, served chilled over ice for a cool and delightful treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 5 limes
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Prepare Limes: Slice 4 of the limes into 8 pieces each. This helps release their juices and zest when blended.
  2. Blend Ingredients: Add the lime slices, sweetened condensed milk, and water to the blender. Blend for no more than 15 seconds to avoid bitterness from the pith.
  3. Strain Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher filled with ice, removing pulp and seeds for smooth limeade.
  4. Add Extra Lime Juice: Slice the remaining lime in half and squeeze its juice into the pitcher for an additional burst of fresh lime flavor.
  5. Mix and Serve: Stir the limeade well and serve immediately chilled. Enjoy the refreshing drink, known in Portuguese as “Saúde!”.

Notes

  • You can increase the amount of condensed milk or add a bit of sugar if you prefer a sweeter limeade.
  • If the lime flavor is too strong, add a bit more water to dilute; ice will also melt and mellow the taste over time.
