Brown Butter Chocolate Mixture:
- 1 1/2 sticks (12 tablespoons) salted butter
- 1 bag (10 ounce) mini chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
Brownie Batter:
- 4 large eggs at room temperature
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup semi sweet or dark chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×9 inch square pan with parchment paper.
- Brown the butter: In a pot over medium heat, brown the butter until lightly toasted. Remove from heat, add mini chocolate chips until melted, then stir in vanilla and instant coffee.
- Prepare the batter: Whisk eggs until bubbly, then add melted chocolate mixture and powdered sugar. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and chocolate chunks until combined.
