Description

Cheeseburger Pasta is a delicious and comforting one-pot meal combining the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with creamy pasta. Ground beef is browned and simmered with cream cheese, sharp cheddar, and seasonings to create a rich, cheesy sauce that coats tender pasta perfectly. This simple, quick recipe is ideal for busy weeknights or whenever you’re craving a hearty, flavorful dish.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat and Seasonings

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Pasta

  • 16 ounces uncooked pasta (such as elbow macaroni or shells)

Cheese Sauce

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown Ground Beef: While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease and return the beef to the pan.
  3. Add Cheese and Seasonings: To the browned beef, add cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and onion powder. Stir continuously over medium heat until the cheeses melt and combine smoothly with the meat.
  4. Make the Sauce: Gradually pour the milk into the skillet while stirring constantly. Continue to cook and stir until the sauce is creamy and slightly thickened.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir thoroughly to coat the pasta evenly with the cheesy sauce. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
  6. Serve: Remove from heat and serve immediately. Enjoy your comforting cheeseburger pasta!

Notes

  • To increase the sauciness, either reduce the amount of pasta used or double the quantities of cream cheese, cheddar, and milk for a richer sauce.
  • Feel free to use different types of cheese like mozzarella or pepper jack for a flavor twist.
  • For a lower-fat version, substitute cream cheese and cheddar with reduced-fat varieties and use lean ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
