A quick and flavorful one-pan meal, this Cheesy Ground Beef Pasta Skillet is perfect for busy weeknights. Savory ground beef, zesty tomato paste, and gooey mozzarella cheese come together to create a comforting and satisfying dish.

Pasta:
- 2 cups ziti pasta, cooked (see NOTES)
Beef Mixture:
- 1 tbs extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp crushed red chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbs tomato paste
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley, plus more for garnish
- Salt, to taste
Cheese Layer:
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Cook pasta until al dente, following package directions, and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water. Drain pasta without rinsing.
- Sear Beef: In a large skillet over high heat, brown ground beef in olive oil, breaking it up with a spoon. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add Flavors: Stir in garlic, onions, chili flakes, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, parsley, and pasta water. Simmer until meat is tender.
- Combine: Add cooked pasta and 1 cup of mozzarella. Top with remaining cheese, cover, and let it melt.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- I used leftover pasta. If you don’t have any on hand, follow the cooking directions in the recipe to prepare fresh pasta.
