Description

These Chocolate Covered Banana Bites are a delightful treat that perfectly combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with the richness of dark chocolate. Easy to make and even easier to devour, they are great as a quick snack or a fun party dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Banana Slices:

  • 2 medium bananas, sliced

Chocolate Coating:

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare Banana Slices: Lay the banana slices out on a cookie sheet lined with parchment or wax paper. Put in the freezer to cool and harden for about an hour.
  2. Prepare Chocolate Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate chips and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. Dip Banana Slices: Dip the frozen banana slices in the chocolate, coating on all sides. Use a fork to lift them out of the chocolate and allow the excess to drip off.
  4. Freeze: Place the dipped slices back on the parchment paper and return to the freezer.
  5. Serve: Serve the banana bites frozen, or soften in the refrigerator for a few minutes before serving. Avoid letting them defrost completely to maintain the desired texture.
