Ingredients
Scale
For the Cinnamon Sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
For the Cheesecake Filling
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Dough
- 2 (8 oz) cans Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls
Other
- Non-stick cooking spray
- All-purpose flour for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon. Set aside this mixture to be used later for layering and topping.
- Make Cheesecake Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, then continue beating until the mixture is creamy and well combined. Set aside.
- Prepare Baking Pan: Spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the bottom of the pan to create the base layer.
- Roll Out First Dough Layer: Unroll one can of crescent dinner rolls onto a lightly floured piece of waxed paper. Press all the seams together carefully to form one continuous dough sheet. Lift and press this dough gently into the bottom of the prepared pan on top of the cinnamon sugar layer, making sure it reaches the edges.
- Add Cheesecake Filling: Spread the prepared cream cheese filling evenly over the dough layer in the pan.
- Roll Out Second Dough Layer: Repeat the dough rolling process with the second can of crescent rolls, pressing seams together and rolling it out to the same size as the first. Carefully place it over the cheesecake filling layer.
- Top with Remaining Cinnamon Sugar: Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the top dough layer to create a sweet, crunchy finish.
- Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the assembled bars for approximately 30 minutes or until the top is lightly browned and cooked through.
