Sliders
- 12 slider-size rolls (pretzel, Hawaiian, or plain)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 jalapeno, sliced
- 6 slices smoky bacon, cooked
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 container crispy fried onions
Topping
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Optional
- Pickle spears
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even cooking. - Prepare the Rolls
Slice the slider rolls in half and place the bottom halves in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. - Cook the Ground Beef
Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well. - Assemble the Sliders
Spoon the cooked ground beef evenly over the bottom rolls in the pan. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each slider. - Melt the Cheese
Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake for 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese has just started to melt. - Add Toppings
Remove the pan from the oven. Add a jalapeno slice, a piece of bacon, and some BBQ sauce to each slider. Sprinkle crispy fried onions on top. - Top with Slider Lids
Place the top halves of the rolls over the assembled sliders. - Brush with Butter and Sprinkle Sesame Seeds
Brush the melted butter over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over them. - Final Bake
Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops of the rolls are golden brown. - Serve
Remove from the oven and serve immediately alongside pickle spears, if desired.
Notes
- Separate the Rolls: Make sure to separate the slider rolls before adding the meat mixture to avoid any difficulty when serving.
- Skip Double Cooking: For a quicker version, you can assemble the sliders in one go, then bake until golden and heated through.
- Watch Closely: Keep an eye on the sliders during baking to avoid burning the tops. They can brown quickly!
