Chicken and Seasonings
- 2 lb Chicken wings (flats and drumettes, either fresh or thawed from frozen)
- 1 tbsp Olive oil (optional, but recommended)
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 3/4 tsp Sea salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken wings: Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels. This will help remove excess moisture and allow the wings to get extra crispy during cooking.
- Season the wings: In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, olive oil (if using), sea salt, and black pepper. Make sure the wings are evenly coated.
- Arrange in the air fryer: Place the chicken wings in the air fryer in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching too much. If all the wings do not fit, cook them in batches for best results.
- Cook at a low temperature: Air fry the chicken wings for 15 minutes at 250 degrees F. If your wings are frozen, add an extra 10 minutes at this step to account for thawing.
- Increase temperature for crispiness: Flip the wings over and increase the air fryer temperature to 430 degrees F (or the highest setting your air fryer allows). Air fry for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until the chicken wings are cooked through and crispy.

- Make sure to pat the wings completely dry for maximum crispiness.
- Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model and the size of your wings, so check a few minutes before the end of cooking.
- Feel free to toss the cooked wings in your favorite sauce for extra flavor.
- If you prefer, you can skip the olive oil, but it does add an extra layer of crispiness and flavor.
