Description

Daddy’s Baked Hamburgers are an easy and delicious meal, combining seasoned beef patties baked to perfection on ciabatta or sourdough rolls, topped with melted cheddar cheese. Perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner option.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat & Rolls

      • 2 pounds 85% lean ground beef
      • 4 small ciabatta or sourdough rolls, halved

Seasonings

      • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
      • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
      • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
      • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Toppings

    • 8 tablespoons butter, divided
    • 8 slices medium cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F with the baking rack in the middle position to ensure even cooking.
  2. Prepare the rolls and beef patties: Line a baking sheet with foil and place the rolls cut-side up. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal ¼-pound portions. Flatten each portion and press it onto a roll, shaping the patty to the edges for a perfect fit.
  3. Season the patties: Drizzle ½ tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce over each patty and season them evenly with garlic salt, ground black pepper, and onion powder. Add a pat of butter on top of each patty.
  4. Bake the burgers: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the burgers for 25 minutes. This cooking time ensures the patties are fully cooked and juicy.
  5. Add the cheese and serve: Remove the burgers from the oven after 25 minutes and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Return them to the oven for 2 more minutes to melt the cheese. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you prefer your baked hamburgers to be more well-done, leave them in the oven for a couple of additional minutes before adding the cheese.
