- 1 lb. wild salmon fillets
- Big pinch of salt and pepper
Spice Mix

- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon coconut sugar
Glaze
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the Broiler: Preheat your broiler on high to begin cooking.
- Prepare the Salmon: Lightly oil the salmon and place it on a rimmed baking sheet. Sprinkle a generous pinch of salt and pepper over the fillets.
- Make the Spice Rub: In a small bowl, whisk together chili powder, paprika, and coconut sugar. Rub this mixture evenly over the top of the salmon fillets.
- Cook the Salmon: Broil the salmon in the oven for about 8 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through, light, and flaky.
- Apply the Maple Glaze: Remove the salmon from the oven and brush pure maple syrup over the top of the fillets. Return it to the oven and broil for another 1-2 minutes, or until the maple syrup starts bubbling.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve the salmon immediately while it’s warm and flavorful.
