Ingredients

Units Scale

Main Ingredients

      • 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
      • 2 teaspoon baking soda
      • 3/4 cup butter (softened to room temperature)
      • 3/4 cup brown sugar
      • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
      • 2 eggs
      • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Toppings

    • 2/3 cup Easter M&M’s
    • Hershey’s chocolate Easter bunnies
    • Mini Robin Eggs
    • Pastel sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350℉ to prepare for baking.
  2. Prepare the baking pan: Line a 13×9 baking pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: In a mixing bowl, stir together the flour and baking soda. Set this dry mixture to the side for later use.
  4. Cream the butter and sugars: In a separate mixing bowl, add the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Use a stand or handheld mixer to cream the ingredients on medium speed until they are fully combined and have a smooth texture.
  5. Combine wet ingredients: Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture. Mix on low speed until well incorporated and smooth. Make sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula to capture all the ingredients.
  6. Add the dry ingredients: Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture. Add about half of the flour mixture and mix on low speed until fully combined. Repeat with the remaining flour mixture.
  7. Fold in candy: Add ½ cup of M&M candies to the dough and carefully fold them in using a spoon or spatula.
  8. Spread the dough: Transfer the dough to the prepared 9×13 pan. Use your hands (lightly sprayed with nonstick spray if needed) to spread the sticky dough evenly in the pan.
  9. Top with sprinkles and candy: Sprinkle the remaining M&M candies and pastel sprinkles over the top of the dough for a festive touch.
  10. Bake the bars: Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Add finishing touches: Immediately after removing the pan from the oven, gently press the chocolate Easter bunnies and Mini Robin Eggs into the warm dough. Let the bars cool completely before slicing and serving.
