Ingredients

Units Scale

FOR THE CRUST:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 large eggs

FOR THE FILLING:

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 small boxes Vanilla Instant Pudding
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup Coffeemate Italian Sweet Cream – creamer

TOPPING:

  • 1 (8-ounce) container Cool Whip
  • Chocolate Syrup to drizzle

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Dish
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish. Set the Cool Whip out to thaw while you prepare the other components of the dessert.
  2. Make the Crust
In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter in the water and bring it to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the flour. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Once the dough is smooth, evenly spread it into the prepared 9×13 dish, covering both the bottom and sides. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow it to cool completely as the puffed crust will settle on its own.
  3. Prepare the Filling
In the mixing bowl of a stand mixer, add the softened cream cheese. In a separate bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, heavy cream, and creamer for 2–3 minutes until thick. Let the pudding refrigerate to set. Once the pudding is thickened, gradually mix it into the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Place the filling back in the refrigerator to chill completely.
  4. Assemble the Dessert
Once the crust is fully cooled, spread the filling evenly on top. Add a layer of Cool Whip over the filling, ensuring even coverage. Drizzle chocolate syrup on top to finish.
  5. Chill and Serve
Place the dessert in the refrigerator to chill until ready to serve. Slice into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe yields approximately 12 to 15 servings, depending on the size of each slice.
  • For a more chocolatey flavor, you can sprinkle chocolate curls or shavings on top along with the syrup.
  • Ensure the crust and filling are fully cooled to avoid the layers getting watery.
  • For an extra-flavor twist, swap the vanilla pudding with chocolate or banana pudding if desired.
