Description

This Easy Steak and Peppers Stir Fry is a quick and flavorful dish perfect for a busy weeknight. Tender strips of beef are cooked with colorful bell peppers and onions in a savory sauce, served over rice for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

For the Stir Fry:

  • 1 to 1 1/2 lbs Top Round Beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 small white onion, chopped
  • Green onions, for serving
  • 1 to 2 tbsp olive oil or canola oil

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 7 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/8 tsp sesame seed oil
  • Pinch of pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the Meat: Slice the beef into thin strips and set aside.
  2. Prepare Vegetables: Chop the bell peppers and onion and set aside.
  3. Make Sauce: Combine all sauce ingredients and set aside.
  4. Cook Meat: Heat oil in a skillet, add beef, and cook.
  5. Add Vegetables: Add peppers and onions to the skillet and cook until done.
  6. Combine: Pour sauce over meat and vegetables, stir until thickened.
  7. Serve: Serve over cooked rice and garnish with green onions.
