Description

A simple and delicious recipe for Garlic Butter Pasta that is quick to make yet packed with flavor. Perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or a quick lunch.

Pasta:

  • 8 ounces (225 g) dried pasta such as spaghetti, linguine, or any other long or short pasta

Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons (52 g) unsalted butter, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (43 g) grated parmesan
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil water in a saucepot, salt it, add pasta, and cook until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, saute garlic, add pasta and water, toss until saucy. Add remaining butter and cheese.
  3. Finish the Dish: Remove from heat, add parsley, toss, season with salt, and serve with additional parmesan.

Notes

  • The recommended portion of pasta per person is 2-3oz (60-85 grams).
  • Salt the water to cook the pasta just like sea water.
  • You might not need to use all of the reserved pasta water, adjust as needed.
