Sauce:

  • 3 dashes ground white pepper

Others:

  • 2-inch (5cm) ginger, peeled, sliced, and cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped scallions

Instructions

  1. Cut the fish: Cut the fish into thick, bite-sized pieces. Coat with cornstarch and set aside.
  2. Prepare ginger: Slice ginger into thin strips.
  3. Make sauce: Mix soy sauce, water, sugar, sesame oil, and white pepper in a bowl.
  4. Cook ginger: Stir-fry ginger in heated oil until light brown, then set aside.
  5. Cook fish: Pan-fry fish in ginger-infused oil until golden brown.
