Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate
- 350 g white chocolate
- 350 g dark chocolate
Decorations
- 200 g spooky coloured M&Ms (picked out of a multipack)
- Halloween sweets
- Halloween sprinkles
- Orange food colouring
Instructions
- Prepare the tray: Line a 9×13 inch tray with parchment paper and set it aside for later use.
- Prep the sweets: Prepare your sweets, crushing some M&Ms and finger biscuits carefully if desired. Be cautious when crushing to avoid injury.
- Melt the white chocolate: Melt the white chocolate using a double boiler (a glass bowl over simmering water) or microwave in short bursts to avoid burning. Stir until smooth.
- Add food colouring: Let the melted white chocolate cool slightly, then mix in the orange food colouring to create a vibrant orange color.
- Spread the dark chocolate: Pour the dark chocolate into the lined tray and spread it evenly to form a base layer.
- Drizzle and swirl: Drizzle the orange-colored white chocolate over the dark chocolate. Using the end of a cake tester or a similar tool, swirl the two chocolates together to create a marbled effect.
- Add decorations: Sprinkle your prepared M&Ms, Halloween sweets, and sprinkles evenly over the swirled chocolate.
- Set the bark: Leave the bark to set at room temperature or place it in the fridge to speed up setting. Note that chilling may slightly discolor some sweets.
- Serve: Once completely set, cut or break the bark into shards and enjoy your festive treat!
Notes
- This Halloween bark can last up to a month if stored properly in a cool, dry place.
- You can customize the sweets and chocolates used to suit your preferences or the Halloween theme.
- Be careful when crushing chocolates or biscuits to avoid injury.
- Setting the bark in the fridge may discolor some decorations slightly but helps it firm up faster.
