- 2 (2 oz.) packages Buddig Beef, chopped
- 2 bundles Chopped Green Onions
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
Coating and Decoration
- 1 cup Finely Shredded Mozzarella
- 2 Black Olives (for eyes and mouth)
To Serve
- Assorted Crackers and Chips
- Serving Tray
- Food Gloves (for mixing and shaping)
- Mixing Bowl
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, chopped green onions, chopped Buddig beef, shredded cheddar, and garlic powder.
- Mix and Knead: Put on food gloves to keep hands clean. Knead all the ingredients together thoroughly until very well combined into a uniform mixture.
- Shape the Ghost: Form the mixture into a ball, then place it on your serving dish. Flatten it to about an inch and a half thickness and shape it into a ghost figure with a rounded top and three humps at the bottom.
- Coat with Mozzarella: Cover the ghost-shaped cheeseball evenly with shredded mozzarella, packing it down to adhere well. Clean up any excess cheese around the edges and wipe the serving dish clean.
- Add Facial Features: Slice one black olive in half to create two eyes and slice another olive lengthwise to form a crooked smile for the ghost’s face. Place these on the cheeseball accordingly.
- Serve: Surround the decorated cheeseball with assorted crackers and chips on the serving tray. Serve immediately and enjoy this adorable Halloween treat.
Notes
- Wearing food gloves makes kneading and shaping easier and cleaner.
- The ghost shape can be customized to your preference; try adding arms or different facial expressions.
- Use mild or sharp cheddar depending on your taste preference.
- For a vegetarian version, substitute Buddig beef with finely chopped mushrooms or roasted vegetables.
- This cheeseball is best served fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours covered with plastic wrap.
