  • 1 lb. ground chicken (93/7)
  • 1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke, hickory flavor
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp. spicy brown mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. milk (any kind, dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs (outside coating)

For Burgers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken mixture: In a large mixing bowl, add the ground chicken, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, beaten egg, liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, mustard, and milk. Use your hands to combine everything evenly.
  2. Shape the patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal-sized balls, approximately 150g each. Flatten the balls into patties and gently create a small indentation in the center of each patty using your thumb, without going all the way through.
  3. Coat the patties: Place the additional 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl. Coat each patty thoroughly on all sides with the breadcrumbs.
  4. Cook in the air fryer: Arrange the coated patties in the air fryer basket. Spray the tops with olive oil spray or avocado spray. Cook at 390°F for 5 minutes. Flip the patties, spray the tops again, and cook for an additional 4 minutes. Remove from the air fryer.
  5. Serve and enjoy: Use the patties to make sandwiches or burgers with your favorite toppings and condiments. Enjoy your delicious, crispy chicken patties!

  • Meat should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.
