Instructions
- Brown the beef and vegetables: Use the sauté setting on the Instant Pot to cook the ground beef, onion, and minced garlic until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat from the pot.
- Add the spaghetti: Break the spaghetti into thirds and layer it on top of the cooked beef mixture.
- Add the tomato base: Pour the crushed tomatoes and marinara sauce over the spaghetti, ensuring the spaghetti is fully covered.
- Add broth and seasonings: Pour the beef broth around the edge of the Instant Pot, making sure not to wash away the tomato layer. Season with oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper.
- Cook under pressure: Secure the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 8 minutes.
- Quick release and resting time: Once the cooking time is complete, perform a quick release of the pressure. Open the lid and allow the contents to sit for 10-12 minutes to complete cooking.
- Mix and garnish: Stir everything to combine the flavors, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- After browning the ground beef, be sure to scrape the bottom of the Instant Pot with a wooden spatula to prevent burning or scorching.
- When adding the broth, gently tip the Instant Pot to allow the liquid to settle at the bottom and ensure even cooking.
- If the noodles have clumped together after cooking, stir them gently with a pasta fork to separate them.
