Ingredients

Units Scale

Filling

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/3 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/3 cup jalapeños, deseeded and diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Dough

  • 1 (8 ounce) can crescent roll dough, preferably crescent roll sheets

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and set it aside.
  2. Prepare the Filling
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, diced jalapeños, salt, ground pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until the ingredients are well incorporated and the texture is smooth.
  3. Prepare the Dough
Open the crescent roll dough and carefully lay it flat on a clean surface. If the dough is perforated, pinch the seams together to form a single sheet. Spread the prepared cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
  4. Roll and Cut
Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from one side. Use a serrated knife to cut the dough into 9 evenly sized rolls. Gently place the rolls into the prepared baking pan, leaving a bit of space between them.
  5. Bake
Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 25-28 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  6. Prepare the Butter Topping
While the rolls are baking, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl.
  7. Finish and Serve
Once the rolls are done baking, immediately brush the butter topping over the warm rolls. Let the rolls cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra heat, you can leave some jalapeño seeds in or use spicy smoked paprika in the filling.
  • Crescent roll sheets work best to avoid pinching seams, but regular crescent dough will also work just as well.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the oven or microwave.
  • To make this recipe vegetarian, simply omit the bacon or substitute it with a plant-based bacon alternative.
