Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake chicken patties for 20 minutes until crispy. Cut each patty in half lengthwise.
- Prepare marinara sauce: In a microwave-safe bowl, mix marinara sauce, basil, and garlic salt. Heat for 30-60 seconds until warm.
- Prepare bread: Spread garlic butter on one side of each slice of Italian bread.
- Assemble sandwich: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place a slice of bread butter-side down in the skillet. Top with 2 slices of provolone cheese, 1 tbsp marinara sauce, 2 chicken patty halves, 2 tbsp marinara sauce, 1 more slice of provolone cheese, and another slice of bread butter-side up.
- Cook sandwich: Cook the sandwich over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.
- Repeat: Repeat the process for the second sandwich.
- Serve: Sprinkle shredded Parmesan cheese over extra marinara sauce and serve alongside the sandwiches for dipping.
