Description

Melted Snowman Bark is a festive and fun holiday treat featuring a smooth layer of melted white almond bark studded with Oreo cookies and decorated with colorful candy to resemble cheerful snowmen. This simple no-bake recipe combines creamy white chocolate, crunchy cookies, and colorful candies to create an eye-catching and delicious bark that’s perfect for holiday parties or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Base

  • 1 pound almond bark or white melting chocolate

Snowman Decorations

  • 12 golden Oreo cookies
  • 6 red and green gumdrops, cut in half
  • 1 Twizzler pull and peel, separated into individual pieces
  • 36 red and green mini M&Ms
  • Black and orange cookie icing

Instructions

  1. Melt the almond bark: In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the almond bark in the microwave using 30-second intervals. Stir thoroughly between each interval until the almond bark is completely melted and smooth.
  2. Prepare base on baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spoon 12 dollops of melted white chocolate around the sheet in the spots where you want the snowman faces.
  3. Add Oreo cookies: Place one golden Oreo cookie on each dollop of white chocolate. Then cover each Oreo with more melted almond bark.
  4. Create the bark background: Pour the remaining melted almond bark evenly onto the baking sheet, filling in the spaces around and between the Oreos to create a unified bark layer.
  5. Add buttons and earmuffs: Place 3 mini M&Ms below each Oreo cookie to represent buttons. Then position the gumdrop halves on each side of the Oreos for earmuffs and connect them with a piece of Twizzler pull and peel candy to form the earmuff band.
  6. Decorate faces: Use black cookie icing to pipe dots for the snowmen’s eyes and mouths. Use orange icing to draw small carrot-shaped noses on each snowman.
  7. Set the bark: Allow the bark to set at room temperature for several hours, or speed up the process by refrigerating the baking sheet for about 1 hour until the chocolate is firm.
  8. Cut and serve: Dip a knife in hot water, dry it, and carefully cut the bark into individual pieces along the edges of the Oreos and decorations.

Notes

  • Almond bark sets quickly, so have all your candy ready before spreading the chocolate to decorate efficiently.
  • Store the melted snowman bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
  • This is a no-bake treat that requires patience while the chocolate sets but no actual oven cooking.
