Ingredients:
- 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 pound beef brisket (flat cut), fat cap trimmed
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme leaves
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
- Trim Fat and Season: Trim the fat cap of the brisket and mix the spices together. Rub the spice mixture over the brisket.
- Add Sauces: Place the brisket in a baking pan, pour Worcestershire sauce and BBQ sauce over it.
- Cook: Cover the pan with foil and roast in the oven for 2 hours. After 2 hours, flip the brisket and cook for an additional 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, slice against the grain, and serve with pan sauce.

- Trim the fat cap to about ¼-inch for best results.
