Description

A delightful Pillsbury Crescent Roll Taco Bake, an easy-to-make and delicious main-course combining crescent rolls, seasoned ground beef, cheese, and fresh toppings for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Roll Base

      • 2 Cans Pillsbury crescent rolls

Meat Filling

      • 1 lb. Ground beef
      • 1 Packet taco seasoning

Toppings

    • 1 1/2 C. Shredded cheddar cheese
    • Shredded lettuce
    • 1 C. Tomatoes, chopped
    • Sour cream and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking.
  2. Prepare the meat filling: Add the ground beef to a skillet over medium-high heat on the stove. Cook until the beef is completely browned, and then drain any excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning to ensure an even mix with the meat.
  3. Prepare the crescent roll base: Unroll the crescent roll dough from the tubes and layer it in the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan or casserole dish. You may not need to use all of the dough to fully line the dish.
  4. Assemble the bake: Layer the cooked meat mixture on top of the crescent dough. Then, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the meat.
  5. Bake the dish: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent dough is browned and cooked through.
  6. Cool and add toppings: Allow the taco bake to cool for about 10 minutes. Top it with shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes for a fresh touch.
  7. Add optional garnishes: Before serving, you can garnish the dish with a dollop of sour cream and some freshly chopped green onions, if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based meat for dietary needs.
  • Add some crushed tortilla chips for a crunchier topping.
  • Adjust the spice level by using mild, medium, or hot taco seasoning.
