Description

Purple Hooter Jello Shots are a fun and vibrant party treat combining grape-flavored gelatin with vodka, raspberry liqueur, and fresh lime juice. These easy-to-make shots set quickly in the refrigerator, offering a colorful and flavorful way to enjoy a festive alcoholic dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Jello Shot Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 box Grape Jello (3 ounces)
  • 2/3 cup Vodka
  • 1/4 cup Raspberry Liqueur (such as Chambord)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh Lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cups: Line up mini jello shot cups on a baking sheet or cookie sheet to keep them steady while filling.
  2. Dissolve the gelatin: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil and remove from heat. Either mix the gelatin in the saucepan or pour the boiling water into a mixing bowl. Add the grape jello powder and whisk until fully dissolved.
  3. Add alcohol and lime: Stir in 2/3 cup vodka, 1/4 cup raspberry liqueur, and 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice until well combined.
  4. Fill the cups: Pour the jello mixture into the mini jello shot cups, filling them up to the rim.
  5. Chill and set: Place the trays in the refrigerator and chill for about 2 to 4 hours until the jello is completely set.
  6. Store properly: Keep the jello shots refrigerated with lids on until ready to serve.
  7. Optional garnish: Just before serving, place a maraschino cherry on top of each jello shot for a decorative touch.

Notes

  • See recipe posts for additional tips.
  • Drink responsibly.
  • Using a baking sheet helps prevent spills when transporting the cups to the refrigerator.
  • Adjust the alcohol amount slightly if a stronger or lighter shot is desired, but be aware it can affect the setting time.
