Description

This Serbian rice meat dish is a flavorful and comforting meal that combines tender chicken, fragrant rice, and a medley of vegetables. Perfect for a hearty family dinner or a cozy night in.

For the Serbian Rice Meat:

  • 160 g Basmati rice
  • 250 g strained tomatoes
  • 100 g peas
  • 2 peppers
  • 450 ml vegetable stock
  • 350 g chicken breast fillet
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper or hot paprika
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Peel the onion and garlic, dice finely. Cut the peppers into small cubes. Cut chicken breast fillets into 1cm pieces.
  2. Cooking Mode: Prevents your screen from going dark.
  3. Cooking: Heat olive oil in a high pan/pot. Fry the onion cubes, then add peppers and chicken, fry for 2 minutes. Add spices and garlic, fry briefly. Add rice, peas, tomatoes, and vegetable stock. Cover and simmer for about 14 minutes until rice is cooked. Season to taste.
