Description

These Smash Burger Tacos combine the flavors of a classic burger with the convenience of a taco, creating a delicious and unique dish that’s perfect for any day of the week.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Burger Sauce / Big Mac Sauce:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons pickle relish
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Tacos:

  • 4 Flour tortillas, 6 inches in size
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper, both to taste
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (vegetable, canola, or avocado)
  • 4 slices American Cheese (or your preferred cheese on a burger)
  • 1 small onion diced
  • Dill pickle chips
  • shredded iceberg lettuce

Instructions

  1. Portion the Ground Beef: Begin by portioning the ground beef into 4 equal amounts.
  2. Spread Ground Beef: Place a tortilla on your work surface and evenly spread one portion of ground beef over its entire surface, ensuring coverage.
  3. Season: Season the upper side of the ground beef with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cook Patty: Heat a skillet or griddle, coat with oil, place the tortilla with the meat-side down, and form a thin patty. Cook until golden-brown, flip, and add cheese.
  5. Finish Cooking: Continue cooking until desired crispness, then remove from heat. Repeat for each taco.
  6. Assemble Tacos: Add burger sauce, lettuce, onions, and pickles to the smash taco burgers.
  7. Serve: Enjoy!

  • A griddle works best for cooking multiple tacos simultaneously.
  • Leftover sauce can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.
  • Recipe yields a generous amount of sauce; adjust as needed.
  • American cheese can be substituted with preferred cheese.
