- 1/4 C. Onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 C. All-purpose flour
- 1/4 C. Cornmeal
- 1 egg, large
- 3 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
- Oil, for cooking
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon: Add the salmon to a bowl and flake the meat with a fork to break it into smaller pieces.
- Mix the ingredients: Place the onion, flour, cornmeal, egg, mayonnaise, and salt and pepper to taste into the bowl with the salmon. Mix everything well to form a cohesive mixture.
- Shape the patties: Form the salmon mixture into patties about the size of a burger, ensuring they hold together properly.
- Cook the patties: Heat an inch or so of cooking oil over medium heat on the stove. Fry the salmon patties evenly on both sides until they are golden brown and cooked through.
