Cake:
- 1- 13.25 oz any store-bought box of vanilla cake mix
- 1/3 cup neutral oil (vegetable, avocado, canola, etc.)
- 1 cup milk or water
- 4 large eggs
Vanilla Buttercream:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon milk (add more if needed)
Coating:
- 12 oz candy melts
- White nonpareils or sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 325-350℉ (162-175℃). Refer to the cake box recipe for the exact temperature based on your baking pan size.
- Prepare Cake: Combine all cake ingredients in a large bowl. Bake according to instructions and do not overbake.
- Prepare Buttercream: Mix all buttercream ingredients until smooth. Add to crumbled cake and mix.
- Form Cake Pops: Roll cake pops and chill in the freezer.
- Add Sticks: Insert lollipop sticks into cake balls and chill.
- Coat Cake Pops: Dip cake pops in melted candy melts and decorate with sprinkles. Let dry in a styrofoam block.
