Description

This easy and delicious stuffed bagel recipe is a perfect combination of creamy cheese filling, buttery garlic topping, and melted cheese goodness. Ready in 20 minutes, it’s perfect for breakfast or a quick snack.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Bagels and Filling

    • 2 plain bagels
    • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350℉.
  2. Prepare the bagels: Using a knife, make three evenly spaced cuts across the top of each bagel, being careful not to slice all the way through. Each bagel should now be divided into six sections.
  3. Make the cream cheese filling: In a medium bowl, use a hand mixer to whip the cream cheese until it’s light and fluffy. Place the cream cheese into a piping bag (or use a ziploc bag with a corner cut off) and pipe the cream cheese into each bagel section.
  4. Prepare the garlic butter: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, chopped parsley, and minced garlic until thoroughly combined.
  5. Assemble the bagels: Brush the garlic butter generously over the top of the bagels. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella over the tops.
  6. Cook the stuffed bagels: Place the prepared bagels into the preheated air fryer and cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Swap the plain bagels for other varieties like everything bagels or sesame bagels to suit your taste.
  • For an extra kick of garlic, use herb and garlic cream cheese instead of plain cream cheese.
  • If you don’t have a piping bag, you can use a ziploc bag with a corner snipped off to fill the bagels.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days or frozen for up to 1 month.
